question on dexter tv show?

So wait did dexters mother die by that one old dude with the chainsaw? I saw a scene were 2 kids got splattered with their mothers blood from a chainsaw was dexter one of the kids?
Also, how does dexter not get caught? Like doesnt anybody report somebody went missing?
Sorry I just got into the show.

Yes Dexter witnessed his moms murder when he was a few years old. He’s an expert in forensics and his step dad was a cop who taught him how not to get caught. Hope that helped, Dexter’s the best show on TV….

Dexter was the youngest kid you seen getting splatted by blood.
and he doesn’t get caught cause his adoptive dad taught him to cover up his tracks and cause he is in blood analysis

Yes Dexter’s mom was killed with a chain saw and his older brother and him seen it all happen when they where young the reason Dexter never gets caught is because hes a blood forensic specialist and his adoptive dad was a detective and taught him how to kill and and not get caught.enjoy the show It’s one of my favorites.

yea, like everyone said, dexter saw his mom get killed.
and i think the people he has killed are reported missing..cause when they found all the people the bay harbor butcher killed, they identified them by missing persons reports…
it nevers gets investigated further because he covers his tracks well, and there is nothing for anyone to find.

Dexter does not get caught because (1) He is the star of the show, (2) He is a GOOD serial killer, and (3) Like everyone said, he knows how to cover his tracks.
It’s a fantastic show.
