It’s upsetting to see that people can watch this without 2nd thought of what he is. I cant believe how many comments are going on defending the character. No I havent seen it, but seriously you guys are going to say what he does it right or on top of that has some sort of justification because these people are scum. I just hope its not the majority of society as a whole or something such as fantasy based as this can become reality TV in the future… and that’s when you know it all went to hell.

An accurate gauge as to the degree of breakdown in the moral fabric of America is what she deems as entertainment. When I saw the bulletin board advertising ‘Dexter’ where he is holding a baby and she has blood on her hands from one of his murders, I was absolutely disgusted. What has happened to this Nation?!?

He kills because he has a sick desire to do so, the fact that he is only killing bad guys is a justification that he admits to. He’s not some kind of superhero, and doesn’t pretend to be. That’s why the series is good.

he kills to get rid of the trash. meaning the people. he only kills people he thinks or knows is bad. you have to watch the series and also notice and pick up the little things said and done through out the time. it’s a really good show.

He has a ritualistic urge to dismember people because he witnessed his mother and several other people get chopped by a chainsaw when he was around 3 or 4 years old. Because that traumatic experience happened when he was so young, he developed a ritualistic need to do it again and again.

This is by far one of the best shows ever on television, I put it in the same category as The Wire. What’s sad is that tonight at the Emmy’s some bullcrap show like House will more than likely win.
